…do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:6 ESV
Fear is tricky. It is crippling. It can make you question every decision you’ve made and will try to make in the future. It is the cousin of fear. You can leave you paralyzed in your day-to-day. Always wondering if you’re doing something wrong. That is the way I felt concerning being a new mommy to my munchkin. I was so concerned that I do everything right that I could not make a decision. I was so scared I would be wrong and then face the judgement of others afterward.

Throw that parenting anxiety in the garbage because that is exactly where it belongs. We are all new here. We don’t know what we’re doing a lot of the time but that’s okay because most new parents don’t know. We’re not alone in this thing. You’re not alone in this thing.
Fear, anxiety, self doubt… whatever you have named it, let it go. Mistakes happen. They will happen. I repeat, they are inevitable. And that is OKAY. Me make the mistakes so that we can learn from them and move on. Do not fear your mistakes. Nobody likes to make them, but if or when they appear, learn from it and let it go. It happened, nothing you can do about it now.

Work out that fear with the Word. God says “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6) There is nothing new under the sun. If you are feeling it or it has happened to you, it has happened before to someone else. Take solace in that. Meditate on that verse and let the peace of God roll over you.
You got this friend. Be blessed.
